On the afternoon of January 14th, 2023, Betty J. O'Hara died at the age of 86 at her home in Saint Petersburg, FL. Daughter of Josephine Zeller and Oaksin Altoonian, Betty was born in Augusta, GA in 1936.Wife to Raymond Patrick O'Hara (deceased). Mother to Mary Jo Woodward, Karen O'Hara, Oaksin O'Hara, and Colleen Ralston. Grandmother to Jason Sayles, Sean Woodward, Eric O'Hara, Jessie O'Hara (deceased), Bryce O'Hara, and Kayla O'Hara. Great-Grandmother to London Sayles, Myles Sayles, Caleb Pate, and Jessie Olivia O'Hara.Affectionately known as Mema to all her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids, Betty was a loving and dedicated caretaker to all who knew her. Her kind, spunky, generous, and warm spirit impacted many and she will be remembered fondly by generations of family, friends, and neighbors.Betty will be placed to rest with her loving husband, Raymond, at the Bay Pines National Cemetary. The family will hold a private celebration of life per Betty's wishes.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating in Betty's honor to Suncoast Hospice or the American Cancer Society.Friends and the public are invited to share their stories, condolences, and photos using the buttons below.
